Sales Manager


Responsible for the development and performance of all sales activities in assigned market; manages and directs the sales team through leadership towards the achievement of maximum profitability and growth in line with company vision and values.

Reporting to:
Head, Marketing and Communications; Managing Director

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Executing business plan and sales strategy for the targeted market
2. Responsible for the performance and development of the Account Executives
3. Initiates and coordinates development of action plans to penetrate new markets
4. Assists in the development and implementation of marketing Plans as needed
5. Conducts one-on-one review with all Account Executives to build more effective communications, to understand training and development needs and to provide insight for the improvement of Account Executive’s Sales and activity performance
6. Provides timely feedback to Senior Management regarding performance
7. Provides timely, accurate, competitive pricing on all completed prospect applications submitted for pricing and approval while striving to maintain maximum profit margin
8. Maintains accurate records of all pricing, sales and activity reports submitted by Accounts Executives
9. Assists Accounts Executives in preparation of proposals and presentations
10. Controls expenses to meet budget guidelines
11. Adheres to all company expenses, procedures and business ethics codes and ensures that they are communicated and implemented within the team

1) Good knowledge of brand marketing
2) Proven ability to meeting targets at deadlines
3) Process Management, Knowledge and Application
4) Must be intelligent, intuitive and able to diffuse and solve problems
5) Ability to plan, schedule and analyze issues effectively
7) Sound intrapersonal, interpersonal and persuasive skills
8) Highly organized and significant ability to multi-task effectively
9) Ability to cope with and work under pressure and with minimal supervision


Age/Educational Qualifications/Experience:

1) Applicant must not be more than 30 years
2) Minimum of HND/B.Sc. or equivalent in Marketing, Business Administration or any Social Science discipline
3) Must have an MBA
4) Minimum of 5-6 years working experience (ICT manufacturing industry will be added advantage)
